The response to our 48 Hour Irish Peak Challenge has been fantastic. We are so grateful for every penny of sponsorship we have received. We fly to Dublin on July 3 and drive down to Kerry to begin our ascent on July 4 at 5am. Early starts are the order of the day as we have two mountains a day to climb.
Please pray for us. Be assured every single penny we receive is gratefully received and will support our goal to provide Bibles for prisoners all over the world.
Why not get to know a little about our brave team … peaks,
Mike, 60, married to Sue, four children, two grandchildren, Publisher. Motorbike enthusiast (BMW 1250 GS). Says: ‘I am the Grandad of the crew – what I lack in fitness, I make up for in sheer enthusiasm. I’ve just recovered from Covid-19; need all the prayers and support I can get!’
Emma, 27, I love everything fashion and Interior Design with a little side Beauty business. I enjoy shopping, making plans, holidaying, sightseeing & music,… Basically, everything but climbing! To go from never climbing a mountain to climbing 4 in 48hours… pray for me!
Luke, 32, Accountant & Excel Spreadsheet nerd, brown belt in Judo, a sommelier wannabe. I enjoy learning a language and the odd flutter on the Grand National. I saw a quote that read ‘to walk in nature is to witness a thousand miracles’ … well, we may need a miracle to get through this adventure!
Matthew, 30, Criminal Barrister. Most of my challenges happen in courtrooms, and so doing one which involves hiking around the beautiful Ireland with this great team is something I’m looking forward to!
Claire, 44, wife of Sean and mum to 2 house rabbits Derek and Gracey. In 2013 I took part in the three peaks challenge for the IPO. I vowed after that to never step foot on another mountain… ever, yet here I am about to climb another 4!
Roland, dad of two beautiful boys and husband to the best wife in the world. Engineer. Lover of nature, science and whisky. On big hikes I like to sing – I will be belting it out on the Irish hills for this one! Please make a hundred million angels sing and pray for us!
Bill, 29, 6ft 2. Engineer. I have just finished my Master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering. I love all music from Billy Joel. Diana Ross will help get me through this challenge with ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’ but then again 4 is a bit of a stretch!! In the words of Andrew Lloyd Webber – ‘Think of me’.
